There is a not so small problem with your proposed paradigm, Bret.

The capitalism vs. socialism framework has a similarity to the
conservative vs. liberal, or republican vs. democrat tendencies.

When you talk about "democracy vs. despotism" both groups will claim:

"We are all for democracy, it is the *other* guys who are despotic (or
fascists, etc)"

How do you propose to solve that problem?
